Right, this is a quick guide to making a custom seatpan and is no means a professional attempt, although this is really just a way to make a decent cast/ mould. The seatpan we’ve made is ok but with all the filler trying to get the correct lines etc.. its become a bit heavy so making another seat using the original as a mould should produce a better (and cheaper) seat.
If you can get a custom seatpan for £80-100 for your bike then do it as this is a bit intensive and cost about the same to build, however if anyone wants an XS750 seatpan like the one pictured leave us a comment etc.. on here and we can build one. Read on...

You would think that the motorcycle being a far more 2-dimensional beast than, say, a car, that getting to things for a service would be easy peasies. Wrong!! I started out my day with a head full of hopes and dreams of a bike with new oil, clean carburetors, new and shiny spark-plugs, who knows what I was thinking. Nothing went quite to plan, more and more parts were removed, from that point you can then see the parts you need to remove to start work. Read on...

True to form our 1978 XS750 seems to pop out of 2nd gear and it seems common with the Yamaha triple engines. After looking around we found a few forum posts on fixing this but nothing really with pictures and more detail. Read on...

Also serves as a handy guide on what to do if the head of a hex bolt etc… is worn away. Hopefully this is pretty similar for changing the rear discs for most bikes.

Carole Nash mailed me saying they will match my insurance quote, I phone them up and after 40 minutes they say instead of my quote of 240 their quote is 800 but they will try and get it matched, 5 minutes later they offer me the insurance for 750. Fear I may have misunderstood the meaning of price match, seems it means we will waste your time and then insult you! Considering this revelation I might look for a job as a price matcher. Read on...
